Aiming is very important in CSS, you need to get use to moving your mouse virtually subconsciously and be able to kill the enemy with the fewest shots possible and in the quickest time possible. Aim practice is the same for everyone, just practice in servers, try aiming for the head only, and work on it. However, if you are very keen to become one of the sharpest aimers out there, continue reading the following.

Sensitivity
It is important to get use to your sensitivity, do not go around changing your sensitivity, all sensitivity is PERSONAL preference, however a low sensitivity can generally help your consistency, but once you get use to something, and can play with that, keep that and don’t mess around with it.

Botting:
This is the best way to get your aim good fast, there are two maps I would suggest to use when playing against bots. First you should start with bloodassault_mini add 5 bots to the opposing team on beginner level. Now in bloodassault_mini you want to practice aiming, you want to practice shooting the bots just as they come around corners, and also how to take out all the bots as quick as possible.
The second map you should practice on is aim_map. This map is fantastic to get use to lots of different conditions against the bots, they will rush you, hide, try and pick you, and they will be at different heights rather than just on the one level. Get use to killing them quickly, at a distance and even when there isn’t much of them showing.
Practice using your wrist and fingers for your aim, get use to aiming at their heads and make sure you don’t waste your time by hiding behind walls or boxes. Don’t be scared of dying; if you die so be it. Try using the main warring weapons, but try using them all (AK, M4, USP, glock, deagle and AWP).
When shooting try keep it down to either 2/3 burst shots, or single tap spraying, and I can’t emphasise enough, aim for the head!

You should try set a quota of killing at least 500 bots every day. To keep from getting bored either sit in ventrilo with your team mates if you have a clan, or listen to mp3s while playing, sing along to them, try and learn to aim without thinking about aiming.

Pubbing:
You DO NOT want to practice only with bots, because there are many human factors you need to get use to as well, if you really want to make your aim sharp, join a death match server and just run around like a mad man and try kill as many people as you can as quickly as possible, do not camp in death match, this does not help your aim at all, you also do not want to resort to spraying unless absolutely necessary, try keep your aim down to just burst shots at a players head, only spray if you really need to and know that you won’t kill the player any other way.
